We would like to inform you that the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) has announced an update to the ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note) issuance process for RORO vehicles, effective 1st May 2025.
In addition to the usual documentation, proof of registration in the Importers/Exporters File (FIMEX) or a valid Special Import Authorisation will now be required.
This document is not mandatory to start the ECTN request at the port of loading, but it must be provided before the authenticated ECTN can be issued.
Shippers or their agents without FIMEX registration or a Special Import Authorisation may still initiate the ECTN request and receive a draft ECTN, but final authentication will be granted only after fulfilling the new requirement.
Please ensure compliance to avoid delays or the need for regularisation procedures.
